Broadly speaking the Unit came into existence on the need and growing desire for Ones (individuals and organisations) to think and act more freely of 'mainstream', often culturally restrictive eurocentric paradigms. During the late 90's we produced a series of ground breaking statistical reference books on African (Black) and Asian communities in Britain. Since this time to now we have maintained our community intelligence; monitoring developments and preparing for future needs.

Today our work is in the areas of development consultancy, research, assessment, database and systems management, design (marketing and corporate systems), publishing, the management of projects and outsourced works.
