In the battle zone... On one of my many trips to Brazil I stayed in a town on the edge of a forest called Bom Jesus Da Lapa. In this town I entered a martial arts challenge contest with the all South American Grand Champion in Taekwando, it was a time when I was at the heights of my developing abilities and had a fantastic match representing England. This event took place in the open and in front of the whole town. We put on a fantastic battle. Even though we were both in that zone (battle zone), we where able to let ourselves go, to such an extent that, there were complete trust in our skills as top, highly trained martial artists, with different experiences and different type of skills, to give a dynamic show. This is what I call the 'deep' zone. Because you need to go deep to bring out the best of us, trusting in our skills, sharpness, following the laws of letting go, going with the flow, focusing our energies (minds) and removing any fears, which is replaced with shear enjoyment. I remained in that zone for sometime, in that zone, I feel confident, relaxed, alert, knowledgable, energetic, kneen, physically fit and mentally sharp.
